How often should I maintain my 3D printer?
Routine cleaning and PEI bed washing should be done every 20-50 print hours (or weekly). Linear rail lubrication and belt tension inspections are recommended every 200-300 print hours or every 1-3 months depending on usage.
What is the single most important maintenance task?
Keeping motion rods and linear rails clean and properly lubricated, along with washing textured PEI build plates with warm water and dish soap, prevents the majority of print failures and axis binding.
Can I track maintenance schedules across multiple printers?
Yes! The Maintenance Hub allows you to add multiple 3D printers, track print hours, view dynamic service intervals, and log completed maintenance entries with timestamps and notes.
